This internationally recognized award recognizes outstanding packaging solutions in the “Packaging Materials and Components” category that set new standards in functionality, sustainability and design.
 
The award ceremony took place on 31.05.2025 at a festive gala in Milan. Erik Edelmann, CSO of Bischof+Klein and Sales Area Manager Italy Andrea Staltari accepted the award in person. “This award is a strong signal - for our innovative strength, for our commitment to sustainability and for the great teamwork behind this product,” said Edelmann.
 
The award-winning packaging solution is based on a recyclable mono-material composite that was specially developed for the requirements of the coffee segment. It combines product protection, durability and high barrier properties with complete recyclability - a significant step towards a circular economy.

Every year, the World Packaging Organization (WPO) awards the WorldStar to pioneering packaging solutions from all over the world. The award shows that technical excellence and sustainability do not have to be a contradiction in terms - on the contrary: solutions with real added value for the environment, the economy and consumers are created when they work together.
