A group of 30 apprentices and students started their apprenticeship or dual study program at packaging and film manufacturer Bischof+Klein on August 5. "An apprenticeship is the beginning of a journey," as Dorothee Osterroth, Lead Human Resources and Organizational Development, introduces the new phase of life. From day one, the trainees are an integral part of the team. "Our trainers and the entire team will be there to support you in any way they can," Dorothee Osterroth continues. Works Council member Torsten Hunsche also emphasized: "As of today, you have gained 1,300 new colleagues at the Lengerich site." 

For many months, Bischof+Klein has been focusing on the "new us", which, in addition to corporate values, focuses primarily on grandchildren. The trainees are encouraged to contribute new ideas and perspectives, making them not only colleagues but above all partners.  

As an international company with two sites in Germany, France, Poland and the UK, Bischof+Klein places great importance on training and further education. The new training year at Bischof+Klein in Lengerich consists of three packaging technologists, three plastics and rubber technologists, two plastics technicians, two printing media technicians, five industrial clerks, two electronics technicians for industrial engineering, two industrial mechanics, two mechatronics technicians, one media designer, one business IT specialist, one IT specialist, two dual students in the field of industrial engineering and four dual students in the field of business administration. 

A comprehensive program awaits the trainees and students in the first week. In addition to a factory tour with an insight into production, they get to know their new workplace in a department or at a production machine. The week concludes with a fire safety exercise and basic training for the relevant apprenticeships, followed by a joint lunch.
